What the ride is like
Playa Frontón has no road access. That is exactly why it is still almost empty, and why it is one of the trips people ask us for most. You ride to Las Galeras and take a boat from there, running along the base of the cliffs.
The wall of rock dropping straight into the water is what makes it different from every other beach on the peninsula. There is reef underneath, and it is the best snorkelling spot in the area.
If someone offers to drive you all the way to Frontón, they do not know the area. The trip is always a combination of ATV and boat.

Can you reach Playa Frontón by ATV?
As far as Las Galeras, yes. Frontón has no road access: from there it is a boat ride, and we arrange the whole trip for you.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to snorkel at Frontón?
For snorkelling it helps to be comfortable in the water. You can enjoy the beach perfectly well without getting in.
