ATV / quad tour to El Limón Waterfall, Samana Peninsula, Dominican Republic

What the ride is like

El Limón is the best known waterfall in Samaná: around 40 metres of drop and a natural pool at the bottom where you can swim. It sits deep in the mountains, surrounded by dense green.

The ATV route is a mountain one: you climb from the main road on dirt tracks between smallholdings, with the views opening up as you gain height.

One thing to know: you cannot reach the waterfall itself by vehicle. We take you to the area and the final climb is done on horseback or on foot. We arrange all of it when we set up the trip.

What makes this trip

  • A 40-metre waterfall with a natural pool to swim in
  • Mountain route on dirt tracks between smallholdings
  • Final climb on horseback or on foot, arranged by us
  • Can be combined with the Las Terrenas route

What does it cost? If you ride it self-drive, rental starts at US$50 per ATV per day. If you want it guided, it depends on how many of you are riding and whether you combine routes, so we quote that separately. Message us and we will send you the exact price, no commitment.

How booking works
