Las Galeras sits at the eastern tip of the peninsula, where the road runs out. It is still a fishing village, with a calm bay beach and a much slower pace than Las Terrenas.
The route follows Samaná Bay and is one of the most enjoyable to ride: good road surface, open bends and viewpoints to stop at along practically the whole way.
It is also where the boats to Frontón and Playa Madama leave from, so a lot of people combine both on the same day.
