What the ride is like
Playa Rincón shows up on best-of-the-Caribbean lists year after year, and it is obvious why once you get there: nearly three kilometres of open white sand, turquoise water and almost nothing built around it.
The ride is half the trip. You follow the coast out of Samaná, with bends where the whole bay opens up in front of you and stops for photos you would never get from a car. On an ATV you reach corners a normal vehicle cannot.
You finish the day eating fresh fish at the shacks on the beach itself. That is how the route ends, and it is the part everyone talks about afterwards.
