ATV, quad, four wheel: the same machine
In Samaná everyone calls it a four wheel, or forwill. In English it is an ATV or a quad, and across Latin America a cuatrimoto. Same vehicle: four wheels, handlebars, one or two seats.
A buggy is a different thing — steering wheel, pedals, bench seats, more people. We work with ATVs, not buggies. If a buggy is what you are after, message us anyway and we will point you the right way.
Our routes
Playa Rincón
A coastal ride to one of the best beaches in the Caribbean: almost 3 km of white sand, turquoise water and fish shacks where you eat with your feet in the sand.
Playa El Valle
A mountain crossing to a wild Atlantic beach wedged between cliffs. Hardly anyone there, and raw scenery all the way.
Playa Frontón
We ride to Las Galeras by ATV and take a boat from there to Frontón: an untouched beach under the cliffs, with the best snorkelling around.
Las Galeras
A ride along the bay to the fishing village at the eastern tip of the peninsula, with viewpoints the whole way.
Las Terrenas
A full crossing of the mountain range from south to north, with the option of stopping at El Limón waterfall on the way.
El Limón Waterfall
A mountain trail to the area of the 40-metre waterfall. The final climb is on horseback or on foot.

Do I need a licence to ride an ATV in Samaná?
Yes, a valid driver’s licence is required. We give you the riding briefing and the route before you head out.
Do I need previous experience?
No. Most of our customers ride an ATV for the first time with us. We explain everything before you go.
How many people fit on one ATV?
One or two depending on the model. Tell us how many you are and we will tell you how many vehicles you need.
Can you reach Playa Frontón by ATV?
As far as Las Galeras, yes. Frontón has no road access: from there it is a short boat ride, and we arrange the whole trip.
Where are you based?
Santa Bárbara de Samaná. We cover the whole peninsula: Las Terrenas, Las Galeras and El Limón included, and we can deliver the ATV to you.
